Handenur Yazıcı

Handenur was born in Istanbul in 1983. Upon completing her high school in Eregli, Black Sea Region, she started studying Architecture at (MSGSU) Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in 2001. She has been honored with the third prize of Archiprix competition amongst all architecture departments in Turkey for graduation final projects wıth her Taksim Gezi Park Urban Library graduation project in 2006. 

She had worked at Boran Ekinci Architects architectural office from 2007 to 2018. Here she designed, prepared application drawings and coordinated various project types from urban design to housing. In 2016, she was invited to instruct 3rd year students at ARCH 310 Introduction to Urban Design class. In 2018 she founded BI Architecture and Consultancy office where she still continues to work at various architectural and design projects. In 2019 she attended the Permaculture Design courses and was awarded with the certificate where she began to oversee permaculture design principles in architectural projects.
